Take your celebration outside at The Upper Tier, Salt + Smoke's fully outdoor patio space in St. Charles. This open-air St. Charles event space accommodates up to 50 guests and is perfect for sunny afternoon gatherings, evening celebrations, and any occasion that's better with BBQ outdoors.
Host your birthday party, corporate event, rehearsal dinner, or family celebration on our spacious outdoor patio. Choose from our full catering menu featuring slow-smoked brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and wings, plus all the classic sides: pit beans with smoked bacon, white cheddar cracker mac, coleslaw, and more.
Please note that The Upper Tier is accessible by stairs only, and in case of bad weather, we'll move your party to an indoor location within the restaurant (which may be semi-private).

Terms + Conditions
- The customer agrees to a deposit of $1500.
- Deposits will be applied toward the costs of Food and Beverages on the day of the event.
- If food and beverage purchases total out to less than the deposit, a service fee will be applied in the needed amount to equal the deposit. No partial refunds are issued on deposits.
- A 20% gratuity and tax (9.95%) will then be added to the total bill.
- In the event of inclement weather, your party may be moved to a different location within the restaurant and may be semi-private.
- Room only accessible by stairs.
