The Chicken Coop at Salt + Smoke is a versatile room rental that holds up to 50 guests, making it the perfect St. Charles event space for birthday parties, corporate events, rehearsal dinners, family celebrations, and gatherings of all kinds.
This upstairs private dining room offers flexible options to fit your event. Book it semi-private for groups up to 30, or rent the full private space for up to 50 guests. Choose from our catering menu featuring slow-smoked brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and all the classic Salt + Smoke BBQ sides.
The Chicken Coop comes with full access 30 minutes before your event for decorating and setup. Bring in centerpieces and flameless candles to personalize the space. A 20% gratuity and tax will be added to your final bill, and your room deposit goes directly toward your BBQ order.

Room Set-Up
- Full Private Space: up to 50 people - $1,500 F&B minimum
- Semi-private shared space: up to 30 people - $750 F&B minimum
The number of guests in the room depends on how you want the room to be set up.
- Off Menu/Seated: 50 guests
- Family Style: 50 guests
- Cocktail Style: 50 guests
- Buffet Style: 25 guests

Terms + Conditions
- The customer agrees to a room deposit of $1,500 or $750 depending on the choice of fully- or semi-private.
- Deposits will be applied toward the costs of Food and Beverages on the day of the event.
- If food and beverage purchases total out to less than the required minimum, a service fee will be applied in the needed amount to equal the minimum.
- No partial refunds are issued on deposits.
- A 20% gratuity and sales tax (9.95%) will then be added to the total bill.
- Room only accessible by stairs.
